Solaboll™ solar powered bollard shortlisted for the 'Energy Product/Service' Award 2011
Following the successful launch of their new innovative product, the Solaboll™ solar powered illuminated self-righting bollard, Pudsey Diamond Engineering ltd. have been shortlisted for the 'Energy Product/Service' Award sponsored by The Energy Institute. Since it's launch in January 2011, the Solaboll™ has been successfully installed in several locations in the UK and abroad, with much interest being shown in the product from UK local authorities and contractors, as well as buyers from all over the World.
SOLAR POWERED BOLLARD: The Solaboll™ is a self righting retroreflective solar bollard which complies with the luminence requirements of BS EN 12899:2007. It is light sensor controlled to conserve battery life throughout the year.
ROBUST AND RESILIENT: It is compliant with BS EN 8442 and has achieved passive safety classification of 70 NE 3 making the Solaboll™ the best performing solar bollard available. It is proven to withstand multiple impacts and still remain operational, and is also fully serviceable on-site.
ECONOMICAL AND GREEN: The Solaboll™ provides free energy for 6 years with battery life expected to be up to 8 years. The batteries are housed in a sealed ground box to ensure batteries are not subjected to high impact, and as such, possible acid leak. Batteries are quick and easy to change on-site when they come to the end of their life.
